Pontotoc County Criminal and Civil Records
The Pontotoc County District Court has general jurisdiction over civil and criminal cases. The Clerk of Court issues copies of records pertaining to any of these cases at the courthouse for a fee from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The requester must complete a form to help locate the desired record. Pontotoc County Marriage and Divorce Records
The Pontotoc County Court Clerk’s Office makes marriage and divorce records available to record seekers online through the On Demand Court Records (ODCR) portal and OSCN Docket. The search criteria are party name, case number, or case/file date range. Users should select “Pontotoc County District Court” in the court search box and select the appropiate case type to streamline their searches. Pontotoc County Birth and Death Records
The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) Division of Vital Records is responsible for issuing certified copies of birth and death records. Pontotoc County birth records are only accessible to the subject of records, immediate family members (such as parents, spouses, children, and grandparents), and legal representatives. Only individuals with proof of familial or legal relationship with the record holder and genealogists can obtain copies of death records from the Division.
