Garfield County Criminal Records
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is the repository for all criminal records in the state. The easiest way for the OSBI to disseminate these records to the public is through its Criminal History Information Request Portal (CHIRP). New users must create an account to access the portal, but established OSBI billing customers can email CHIRP@osbi.ok.gov to initiate access. The service fee is $15; payment can be made by credit card or electronic funds transfer. Name-based searches for Garfield County criminal records can also be conducted by fax at (405) 879-2503, mail, or in person for similar fees. The customers must submit an Application Form with the appropriate fees to the OSBI. The acceptable forms of payment are cashier's check, money order, cash (in person only), or credit card. Those applying by fax should know they can only pay by credit card. Fingerprint-based searches involve submitting an application form, a fee of $19, and a complete fingerprint card. Copies of civil court records cost $1 for the first page, $.50 for each additional page, and $.50 for certification. In-person customers should expect to receive copies of records immediately, except those stored in offsite locations. However, the processing time for mail requests is between 1 and 2 days.
Garfield County Marriage Records
Marriage records are open for public inspection at the Garfield County Court Clerk's office from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The staff may give the requester a form to complete or ask them to provide a name or case number to help locate the record on the computer. Copies of Garfield County marriage certificates retrieved in person will be released immediately once the copy fee is paid, except if the record is located off-site. The Clerk charges $1 for the first page of a marriage record, $.50 for each additional page, and $.50 for the certification fee.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health Division of Vital Records is responsible for issuing certified copies of birth and death records upon request.
